The historic Arizona State University at the Tempe campus offers hundreds of majors that engage undergraduates and graduates in multidisciplinary research and exploration in first-rate laboratories and facilities. The energetic environment of the campus comprises broad pedestrian malls and eclectic architecture set amid subtropical landscaping.
Tempe campus is located near several medical facilities including St. Luke’s Hospital and HonorHealth Medical Group. Additionally, the Tempe campus houses the Biodesign Institute which is comprised of 16 centers including Innovations in Medicine, the Virginia G. Piper Center for Personalized Diagnostics, Molecular Design and Biomimetics, the ASU-Banner Neurodegenerative Disease Research Center, and the Biodesign Center for Immunotherapy, Vaccines, and Virotherapy.

Once you are in Handshake, select appointments under the "Career Center Tab" and choose a "Pre-Health appointment".
Mary Nadarski has been with the Pre-Professional Advising Office since 2011. She advises students pursuing either healthcare or law. She loves meeting with students to discuss their individual goals and assisting them in crafting competitive applications to professional school. Application season is her favorite time of year. In addition, you will likely see Mary presenting various workshops and information sessions throughout the semester. Mary serves as the Advisor for Alpha Epsilon Delta Honor Society, the American Medical Students Association, Pre-Dental Club, Pre-Law Society at ASU, and the CLAS College Council. In addition, Mary serves as the current President of the Western Association of Pre-Law Advisors and is the Conference Chair for the Pre-Law Advisors National Conference. Mary received her Master's of Education in Higher Education from Arizona State University and her Bachelor's of Science in Recreation, Sport, and Tourism from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Prior to joining PPAO Mary worked at the Walt Disney World Resort where she was an attractions hostess at Dinosaur: The Ride in Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. When not advising students, Mary enjoys attending baseball and soccer games, traveling, exploring new restaurants, and of course, Disney World.
Cheri Peterson is a long-time advisor in the health professions. She advises students pursuing any type of healthcare career and can assist students in exploring the more than 120 different careers in health. She especially enjoys learning about individual students' motivations and goals and assisting them in finding the right program for their strengths. Cheri has been with Arizona State University in various capacities for over 30 years. When she isn't working with students Cheri enjoys spending time with her family, dogs, and spending her weekends at her vacation home in Heber, Arizona.
