Arizona State University offers courses that fulfill the requirements for health professional schools. Prerequisites for each course at ASU should be confirmed in the course catalog and with the academic departments. Other courses may be required by specific programs. You are responsible for knowing the requirements of the schools where you plan to apply.
Rigorous course loads (15+ credits) including 2 or more science courses per semester is recommended for most health professions. Your tracking, major, and college requirements take priority, so your plan may look different than your peers. Everyone has a different path and there is no one timeline. It is not recommended to use your summers to "knock out" or "spread out" your science courses.
Many professional schools do not accept prerequisite courses taken on-line or at non-U.S. institutions. Policies on AP, IB, AICE, and community college credit vary by school. Be sure to check each schools policy.
Courses may not be required, but are recommended.
